    Many thanks
Many thanks, it was some day!
Thank you, have to admit the proformance at Culloden was my favourite and a lot louder than 46115 last year!
Thank you, Castle and Duchess may beat the A1 in voulme, but it's quality not quantity....!
Many thanks, we will happily have her up here more often if it suits the noise departments!

It took 98 min Darlington - York yet still made up 14min on the schedule. Service trains have got very little to do with it.

Just to clarify, I think that was 98 minutes from passing Darlington to leaving York. There are some who could cycle Darlington - York in 98 minutes! LOL. And if that was a 14 minute gain on schedule, there was time when I could almost have cycled 44 miles in the 112 minute schedule! (Downhill, following wind etc etc).

RTT gives the actual time Darlington - York as 44 mins with an apparent crossover at one point at least. Possibly to make way for a service train? Maybe some good running there.

Expecting at least 40 minutes late I was nearly caught out. Could even be on time at London. Clip approaching Stoke Tunnel. Sounds as if she is working hard but very little smoke or steam from the chimney.

Lovely noise indeed. About 50 mph on the 1/200 I think. Following a check just South of Grantham?

Trying to time it from RTT looks like the Carlton Loop stop was missed out. But she must have been checked around Grantham, but by what I have no idea. I have no knowledge of ECML services.

With a noise like that you just have to hope she was kept on the fast line and allowed to run a bit down Stoke. But from the RTT onto Peterborough it looks like she must have been put on the slow at one point down Stoke Bank. Grrrrrr...

A signalling system is needed that works from three cylinder exhaust noise. The loudest noises keep turning signals in front green!

I'm going to patent that idea. Do you think it will catch on?

    The Yeti-Signalling system.

    LOL

PS. Oh alright. I'll develop 2 and 4 cylinder versions as well.

Well what a performance by Bittern yesterday. Left YRL 54 down and went 58 down at Shaftholme Junction. However, arrived at KGX right time. Here it is passing HDW 13 down on the Up Main.

Well, after the Daisy the Cow incident, Bittern brought home the bacon, arriving at the X on schedule. Here at Welham Green, a service stopper had left two minutes earlier, and RTT had it routed on the same road, so the assumption was a pedestrian performance, but I had a feeling the switch would happen and sure enough here it is captured. Bittern then gobbled up the remainder of the 14 minute deficit.

I wish 4464, 60019 or whichever identity it prefers to take could find its way north of Newcastle occasionally.

The only bittern we see in these parts these days is the sort in this photo and god knows they are hard enough to see. I got lucky with this one.
