Has 45231 made its way up yet or are 62005 and 44871 currently holding the "Fort" (sorry!) between them?

As reported above 45407 is to join the K1 and 44871. 45231 is said to be ready for a test run possibly this week, today even?

 

And long may it continue for week commencing 8th July!!!

Yes, since returning 44871 has always carried the larger Scottish cabside numbers.

 

Good afternoon. My wife and I have bought our tickets online to ride on Monday afternoon. Does anyone know whether we have to print the ticket out or can we just show the guard the email from West Coast?

Anyone know what loco's working the morning train today? Apparently failed at Glenfinnan, 37 took the train forward while the steam loco worked back to Fort William.

Any further information about this? 45407+44871 are supposed to be dashing home tonight for the ELR gala. With 45231 on Cumbrian Mountain duty this weekend, that leaves 62005 "holding the fort", so to speak.

I see from RTT that 5Z72 finally got back to Fort William this morning nearly 3 hours late, having been 3 and a half hours late at Dumbarton. Was 44871 fixed in time, or was that 45407 only?

 

44871 repaired and both 5s now back at FW; 44871 working today's afternoon train.
