Can't seem to find a thread on this tour so here's a pic of 60163 powering up the climb through Finsbury Park this morning.

Let's hope it looks a bit like this Tuesday to Swanage. Not holding my breath.

Studied the sun compass, worked out the angle of glint (or so I thought) but it turned out to be different to what I expected. Far from a golden glow the length of the train, it only lit the front of the loco. 60163 at Jiggs Lane Crossing, Langford just before 21:00.

Seems to have watered not in Peterborough, but further North. Went from 30 late to 11 late in a twinkling and nearly caught me out.

    Hi Guys

I shot this one going fairly quick on the Down Main at Oakleigh Park. I would've preferred to have stood at the Down End but I would've had a lot of problems with the sun. I was shaded at the Up end.

Maybe so but if it's the SRPS stock then at least everything works including the PA.

    Barry

The Scottish Railway Preservation Society (SRPS) have in the past and this year on the Cathedrals Explorer, hired out their stock to Steam Dreams. I understand that although it looks a little tired on the outside, it works pretty well on the inside. Don't know whether they are continuing with its use during the summer.

Let's see if Steam Dreams use it on tomorrow's run to Swanage. Planning a night shot of this one. Barry

Agreed. Apparently it is not easy to clean the stock at either Southall or Wembley. They were cleaning one side in the platform at Salisbury on the 30/6.
