A walk from Midford to Bath Green Park

    Last April I visited Bath Green Park station for the first time and said I would be back later in the year to walk the line from Midford.
    That walk took place last Saturday and took just about 2 hours.

    It's a beautiful walk/cycle ride. I thoroughly recommend a visit. Each time I walk the route, I recall my younger years, watching the various
    summer Saturday expresses, the goods trains or the Pines Express slogging up the 1 in 50 incline towards the Mendip Hills. Happy days. <BJ>

    I don't quite understand their logic/maths regarding the indicated walking/cycling times.

    Devonshire Tunnel Walking = 407M - 10 mins
    Devonshire Tunnel Cycling = 407M - 2 mins

    Combe Down Tunnel Walking = 1670M - 25 mins
    Combe Down Tunnel Cycling = 1670M - 10 mins

    If walking through Devonshire takes 10 mins, given that Combe Down is over 4 times as long you would expect it to take 4 times as long not 2.5 times? Similarly they're expecting you to cycle 5 times quicker than walking through Devonshire, but cycle only 2.5 times quicker than walking through Combe Down?
