[Jul 20, 2013] Epping Ongar Railway Real Ale Weekend (UK)

The first Epping Ongar Railway (EOR) real ale weekend will take place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July, at North Weald station. A vintage bus service will run from Epping Underground to bring drinkers directly to the bar, as well as to connecting heritage rail services to Ongar which are planned to be run by a mixture of steam and diesel trains on both days. The bar will open at 1200 and will feature beers from East London and Essex, with some railway themed 'foreign' beers coming from Box Steam of Wiltshire. You'll find the bar located within one of the railway workshops, next to a marquee just in case the weather isn't perfect!

If you happen to be a CAMRA member, you get a concessionary rate of £11 for travel on the EOR services, both bus and train. This is valid all day and into the evening on Saturday when additional train and bus services will run.
