Have heard a rumour it's working today's Torbay rather than 5029.

It is. Saw saw it in Bristol earlier. 5029 failed its fitness to run on Saturday.

34046 was a couple of minutes down at Parson St, 18 down at Brent Knoll, and about 5 mins down at Dawlish.

Sunny and warm! Despite the forecast. I'm sat on the beach at Dawlish eating fish and chips, and wishing I'd worn shorts today.

34046 safely back at BTM on time. Late running this morning due to a variety of signal checks. Also coal was poor, reported as "mainy dust". Great climb to Churston, made it look easy with a good run at the bank.

Good climb of Whiteball this evening 60+. Also 70 mph over Flax Bourton.

Thanks to all for a great day after all the problems of other trips.

5029 report to have two leaking stays.

My footage of yesterday's Torbay with Braunton, seen at Whiteball, Torre and Huntspill. A shame it wasn't Nunney but was still nice to see Braunton again :)

Agreed. Sustained 26 mph on the bank and still doing 24 or 25 mph when eased for Churston, I was impressed. A major difference from years past was that 34046 got a run at the bank through Goodrington.

Did Braunton take the 'up' line through Goodrington Sands? Else I wouldn't have thought the run at the bank would have been any more beneficial than what was possible when only the down line existed

Any Charter which goes through Goodrington will always use the down line through platform 1. This is because the up line (platform 2) has a speed restriction of 5mph due to the severe points at the paignton end of the platform. So it is easier and quicker to use the down line. Hope this helps. :)

Competent run from 34046 last Sunday.

The times on UKsteam at present are wrong. The confirmed times with tickets say 7.55 departure from BTM, usual path from Taunton south. Not sure if we are going into Frome or not.
