Epping Ongar Railway Diesel Gala and Real Ale 14/15 September 13

There will be an intensive service throughout Saturday and Sunday 14th and 15th September using all locos subject to the usual caveats.​

Final timetable yet to be announced but the Saturday service will be roughly 0930 until 2130 with bottled beer served from the bar in the Brake Coach.​

Sunday service will be an earlier finish @1900​

We look forward to seeing everyone and enjoying some beer and diesel thrash up some of the steepest gradients in preservation.​

(Our beer organiser and CAMRA member has chosen a selection of rail related titled bottled beers and ciders from a selection of London and local breweries.)​

 

GREAT NEWS - 33202 TO VISIT EOR ​

IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED THAT 33202 WILL BE ATTENDING THE EPPING ONGAR RAILWAY DIESEL GALA ON 14 & 15 SEPTEMBER​

We are please to announce and we are delighted to have immaculate BR blue 33202 added to the line up and it will look superb behind our rake of blue and grey coaches.​

33202 will be running throughout both Saturday and Sunday of the gala.​

Many thanks go to the owner for lending us the loco and for supporting the EOR Diesel Gala​

Further to the announcement above - more good news.​

EOR will be running several vintage buses between Shenfield Station and Ongar Station in support of the EOR Diesel Gala.​

Buses will run both days. Timings have yet to be agreed but in principle buses will run in the morning returning late afternoon and into the evening on Saturday. ​

These will be in addition to the normal EOR vintage bus services connecting Epping with North Weald and Ongar.​

I will post times when they are agreed and any other relevant information regarding this. The EOR website will also have details when they are agreed.​
