    There's a short article in the latest Steam Railway magazine to the effect that Britannia was expected to have a steam test on 5th Sept. Does anyone know whether this, in fact, happened? I guess probably not or it would have been reported around here (unless I've missed it?)

    Britannia Update

    We are pleased to announce that No. 70000 Britannia has successfully passed a steam test at LNWR Crewe works following several months absence from the mainline.
    After an incident in March of this year concerning the locomotive, Britannia has been absent from the mainline whilst remedial work has been undertaken on the locomotive. We have been working hard to return Britannia to the mainline as soon as possible and are pleased to bring this wonderful news to you.
    We still have some final work to be completed on the locomotive and, whilst we cant confirm anything at present, we are confident that No. 70000 will be making her return to operations very soon.
