    Now that would be an idea...
    Following a link on the HR Facebook page it appears that the non-loco assets of the Mull Railway have been bought and potential locations are being looked at in the Oban area.

    Interesting! I wonder if he's considered the trackbed of the route north from connel, although I doubt the bridge would become road/rail mixed use again!
    Am watching with interest as my father lives just down the road.

    Hope that this gets off the ground, it would be superb to see the railway rebuilt in the Oban area, i used to have a lovely afternoon sailing across from Oban to Mull, then have a couple of runs on the railway, last time i traveled on it the driver stopped to allow us to watch sea otters on the foreshore, not many railways where you could do that. Mulls loss could be Oban's gain,

    Very sorry that you were unable to find a suitable location in the Oban area (it would have made a fantastic attraction for this part of Scotland), but can I please wish you success with the Rudyard Lake Railway and I will of course look forwards to reading about your efforts with this instead.
