If anyone has any ideas / suggestion feel free to let us know and we shall see what we can do.

Would anyone be interested in an Early Morning Photo Charter around Froghall/Consall for example?

I think that sounds a great idea, it works for other railways.

Quite possibly, but it would depend on the traction!

1501 seems to be making a good go of various hilly railways lately, any chance of seeing (and very much hearing) it at Churnet? ;-)

No 1501 this time around, as we already have a guest loco lined up. Just waiting for contracts to be signed etc before any announcement.

However what freight would people want if we ran this? We can run a small ballast/engineering train with the recently completed Oyster, a mixed Goods with Box vans & a couple of open wagons, a Parcels like what we had last year behind the N7 or a combination of all the above!

What would entice you down? Anything else people can think of?

Can it be timetabled that the trains cross at Consall instead of Leekbrook junction allowing people to change trains? Don't bother with a freight either!

It would mean too long a layover and less trips up Cauldon, and with only 6/7 being on offer at present we don't really want to do this. However depending upon our Coaches situation we maybe able to offer a passenger train in the CVR path as we realise people want to ride the trains as much as possible. Still in the planning stages at present so shall confirm when we can :)

Not being the biggest railway infrastructure wise at present, we are limited with what we can do operationally and so guest locos need to be able to haul at least 5x Mk1 up our 1in45 bank. Sadly the 'A' Class wont do this, but maybe one day when we are a bit more developed and can run a bigger variety of services we could maybe send an invite.

I've made the suggestion to the organisers, but to be honest we are short of volunteers and so it may be just too much for our small band of guys (and girls for the 2x Emmas!). When it was done with 4771 a number of guys did long shifts and some of them have since left but we'll see what the thoughts are. Negotiations still ongoing for a guest loco, think Chris is now onto Plan D or E!

Able to confirm the N7 will be in operation over the weekend.

Hopefully guest engines will be announced this week :) Just arranging photos for publicity material as we speak.

I was waiting for it to be made public on the website, but as invites have now gone out to the Charter Groups I suppose I can now confirm that the Star Guest is 34007 Wadebridge from Mid-Hants. However still one more guest to announce, as I say the publicity material is being sorted as we speak.

Sounds tempting. I've yet to visit the CVR, but if anything will tempt me to do so, it's a Bulleid.
