    Just spotted this on Twitter.

Looks like a voyager has got it a little wrong in one of the Chester bay platforms....

When the Pendo's had a couple of bufferstop disagreements a few years ago, apparently it was a software update to blame that was intefering with the wheelslip protection/braking, be interesting to see if this is similar or the cause lies elsewhere, but a lot to be said for having simple braking than having Windows 7 stick it's nose in.

I wonder what Virgins definition of "low speed" is. To displace the buffer timbers seen lying on the concourse would have taken a good clout. I await the RAIB report with interest

p.s. I have just spotted that a buffer is still attached to one piece of timber

Presumably you have to be going a certain rate to half mount the concourse behind than just whack the stops ?.

I know these things are built like tanks, but I still reckon they will have to nick one of the spare driving cars off Central Rivers to replace that, gotta be some frame issues with that impact.

Slightly off topic but I heard recently from a "Techie" that the purpose of most Windows updates is to correct errors in the original installation but also deal with errors in the previous updates. So now we know why there is no end to them on our PCs/phones!
