    Dan that is a stunning view, I'm green with envy, the conditions were as near perfect as you could get and I can only imagine what shot I could have got with, directional mic and telephoto.
    I was down on the road bridge as you will probably have seen from my video, and had been talking to a guy from the castle who told me there were quite a few photographers up there. I did not realise that there was access to such a vantage point, but will certainly take the next opportunity to try it.

    Yes it's a great spot up there on a good day when conditions are right.
    Once you have paid your entrance fee to get in, it's only a 15 walk to the top.
    Through a good lens, you can see the steam/ smoke from the loco as it pulls out of Chester and track it all the way.
    There were about fifteen guys up there armed with DSLR's or video camera's......oh and me with a camera phone!
