[Dec 21, 2013] Freightliner Festive Fun Weekend (Crewe)

We are extremely pleased to announce that we have teamed up with Freightliner, to form a very special event in aid of Springfield School, Crewe. On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of December we will be hosting the 'Freightliner Festive Fun Weekend. This event will feature some visiting Freightliner locomotives and Brake Van rides being performing by 03073, 47712 and 73006. This event will also feature Santa in his Grotto, and all our other attractions. As well as the British Rail APT-P (Advanced Passenger Train) Being tilted. Hot and cold food will be available all weekend from the 'Buffer Stop Cafe'. For any enquiries please contact The Crewe Heritage Centre (Not Freightliner).

7/12/2013 Update - We are expecting a Class' 66, 70, 86 & 90. All locomotives are subject to availability and may be withdrawn from the event without prior notice.

 

Take it there's no chance of the Freightliner locos appearing on the brake van rides? Suspect it would have a drastic impact on visitor numbers!

 

Unfortunately not sorry, There may well be various start ups and demonstrations.

 

Ah well, it was a long shot!

 

It is something we are trying for the future.
