I think '09 was pronounced dead earlier in the week than Nelson Mandella. Shouldn't NM carry a 60009 wreath?

The boundary between clever humour and tasteless humour is a tricky one and not easily seen by some. I think you might have just tripped over onto the wrong side.

I was on this, taking my parents for a nice day out up in Lincoln.

Plus points - no diesel on the back, the coaches were nice and warm and in good order. 70013 was an acceptable substitute for 60009.
Negative points - Standard class on the back so we were a long way from the noise of the loco. Turgid timings on the return culminating in a 1-hour stagger from Stevenage to Kings Cross!

Don't think so.. The press coverage to date has been saturated to a level to make you sick of it, he had rock all to do with railways in Britain, and finally he was no-one on here's close friend or relative. All in all I think you would need to be on the "I am looking out for chances to be offended" scale to be offended.

    You rang, DAVE?! ;)

There we go! Pretty much the same as Kristian, albeit with an arrival shot at Kings Cross in the evening.

Well controlled as far as closing the regulator goes I guess after it's already started spinning. Standing there it was more than a little slip.

Your comment does you no credit at all and is more indicative of the witterings of an ill educated attention seeking teenager than one who has retired.
