    Does it matter ?

Mr Knowwun was in a legal position that was clearly separated from the main line by a fence; the crew may have whistled as a warning but more to cover their concern rather than any need to indicate a trespass situation. This is a problem with line side photography - some adopt positions that others won't then are subject to criticisms for their results. IF - and I stress IF - it's a problem then I'm sure local staff will point out the trespass / danger element and consistent breaches will be noted and the appropriate BTP / NR taken.

Sorry but that video at Waterbeach, taken very near the running line, yet behind protective panelling on the platform ramp didnt do it for me, in fact it was somewhat un-nerving.
What if there had been a dangling "pep" pipe on one of the engines, or a lump of coal fell from the tender?

Just thought it was an un-necessary risk to take, and not really "clever" dramatic photography..

To put things into context, would anyone stand at the edge of a platform when a speeding train goes pass? Yet that is also a legal place to be in. I think most of us know the answer to that one and the answer would be no, we would not stand at the edge of the platform, so inconsequence just because there is a small fence there, the result is still the same, it is not a safe place.

However, I would concur with Fred, that if it is a problem, then local station staff or NR employee's would take appropriate action as and when necessary.

Is it close to the track maybe, is it a legal spot, yes.
I doubt he is the first nor the last to stand there.

If you have a complaint about the location I suggest you contact Network Rail and vent there, and thank the photographer for bringing it to your attention.
Persecuting the messenger is never productive, especially when it's in a legit spot.

    Ive seen far worse.

Regarding my HD issue, I might of sussed it. I unticked this option in the privacy section of my browser settings & the HD options have come back in Youtube.

Don't ask me how that affects it.
