With the recent layout changes to Flickr, I recently decided to move my photographs to a new host website under the name '21st Century Railwaymen' to act as a tie in with our blog features.

So far, the website includes my own photography, and videos from Cammy Easton who is a partner within the group. We hope to expand the website in future to include more from our core group.

Several pages have been updated over at www.21stCenturyRailwaymen.co.uk :

Firstly, we finally have some 2013 Mainline Diesel Railtour snaps up! These include Deltic No. 55022 'Royal Scots Grey' with a tour to Oban, and the Northern Belle & VSOE sets for Leuchars :

And then we also have some photographs uploaded in the Mainline Steam 2013 section, with shots from No. 46115 'Scots Guardsman' with the Ryder Cup 2014 charter at Kinbuck, and Ian Riley's Black 5's No. 45407 and 44871 on the West Highlander to Oban :

Also Cameron Easton is slowly updating his 2013 CeTrains Videos section on the website.

With my honeymoon just ended, I shall hopefully get working on some blog posts to go up in the near future!

Our blog has been updated, a little bit different from our usual 'tales of woe and rain'. We've made a Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway photographic guide, to aid with enthusiasts who are tempted on visiting the line for some photography but wish for more information. It's a basic guide at first, but will be developed in to a full and comprehensive guide with time :

While it may seem quiet on the forefront, we're taking a leaf from many of the heritage railway's book and have been using this time to get on with some website maintenance. Although far from complete, we have the following changes on the website :

Firstly, my own photography on the site has been changed completely in terms of layout. This now means a taskbar on the left can instantly take you to the subject area you wish to view, instead of have to repeatedly return to the home page or click 'Back'. This layout will be adopted throughout the site in due time, and for now it does mean some photographs previously available are currently 'Out Of Sight' while the last few remaining pages are built in :

The second change, is to the blog. The blog was orignally started on Wordpress, and operated at a time when the team members weren't publishing material and hosting it on to the same site, instead using Flickr mainly. When the website got in to swing, we had considerations about moving the blog over from Weebly and using the current host's ( Weebly ) own blog system to write our material. This was put on hold until a time we could have monitored traffic and reception on the website, and now happy with the way the whole group is heading, we have incorperated the Blog fully in to our own site.
This means that, over the next few weeks, all of the original Blog posts will be copied over from Wordpress and published here accordingly, along with all new material. The old Blog shall still exist for the next 6 months due to previous linking :

The Ramblings of 21st Century Railwaymen

We hope to further be continuing to upgrade the website for ease of use and viewing, with some more 'Features' added in due time.

Thanks on behalf of the team.

Firstly an update to the website, to include Bittern's 'The Capital Streak' 90mph run, and secondly, we have a new blog post up titled 'Merchant, Napier and British Standards' - a journey to South Wales via chasing three steam tours around various spots in London :

Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway held it's annual Winter Diesel Gala this weekend, which marked the preservation finale of Class 37 No. 175 before moving on to Colas, and the preservation debut of Class 37 No. 401 'Mary Queen Of Scots', alongside runs from Colas No. 56105, 26038 'Tom Clift', DCR No. 56312 and Deltic No. 55022 'Royal Scots Grey'. Some of the better shots have been uploaded on to the Bo'ness And Kinneil Railway section of the website :
