Does anyone know of a website which list mainline steam railtours in Germany.

I am particularly interested in the proposed high speed trip by 18.201 (as mentioned in Steam Railway)but after a long time searching I cannot find any reference to it on the net

keep an eye on http://www.dampf-plus.de/ for the high speed runs for 18 201.
The site is being rebuilt right now for 2014.. apparently an interesting year.

This is the site for the administrators of 18 201, and others, I can't remember exactly, but I think I heard 18 201 is being repainted out of Green in 2014.

Have you considered the SSN working out of Rotterdam? They have a 3 day trip on 8th May 2014 to the hilly Eifel region in Germany, with 01 1075, then 01 150 and also 52 6106.
    More details are here:

The trip is definitely on (having received the required minimum number of reservations) and they are currently pondering translating their flyers etc into English. If so, I will post on nat pres later this month.

The big one for 2014 is Neustadt 28th May to 1st June..
    11 locos, 9 Steam (2x BR 41s, 3 x BR52s, 1x BR 58, 2 x BR 01's and a BR44) running a plandampf and two engines hauling steam hauled freight on a separate event at the same time.
Also present is two V200s (German fore father of our Maybach Warship class).

    1 hour 30 from Frankfurt.

    http://www.dampfspektakel.info

Organised by those who brought us Trier in 2010… (I still haven't recovered from that one).

The usual suspects are running trips from the UK, I'll be going self guided as I work in Frankfurt often, local rail fares are much cheaper than a chaperoned tour and prefer "my freedom".

copied from the website, here's the planned routes each day:

28.5.2014 Mannheim – Neustadt – Landau – Bundenthal-Rumbach (im Abschnitt Mannheim – Neustadt mit Diesel)

    29.5.2014 Neustadt - Sinsheim
    Neustadt - Woms – Alzey
Neustadt – Worms – Bensheim, Worms – Bensheim

    30.5.2014 Neustadt – Eberbach – Heilbronn

    31.5.2014 Neustadt – Landau – Karlsruhe
    Neustadt – Bad Dürkheim
    Neustadt – Alsenz
    Neustadt - Bad Kreuznach
    Neustadt – Wilgartswiesen
Neustadt – Landau – Pirmasens Nord – Kaiserslautern – Neustadt

Flight tickets booked weeks ago for the Dampfspektakel. The Neustadt event in 2005 was pretty good. Charging around all day behind Pacifics and the like for around £5 a head on a group rover ticket. Where did you find the info regarding the 44s on freight please?

    Morning all,

The timetable and loco allocations for the Neustadt event are now on the German website.

Also don't forget what is looking like being one of the best German steam events of 2014. There is a Plandampf from the 18.09.-20.09.2014 around Altenbeken using 41 018, 41 360, 44 546, 78 460 and a very special guest, Dutch based 01 1075.

Loaded freights, passenger services and routes into the Harz mountains with traditional signalling are an excellent prospect and the team Bebra are experienced at running big events.
