Phew! Thought we were going to be another loco short! My Father is off to see the duo this afternoon so I have to keep him updated.

Good looking timetable the shame for me is the lack of 46 and 28 double heading. Thought they might of done that at least once over the 3 days.

I don't see the point in double heading 35028 and 34046. You just increase the coal bill for that round trip.

 

But they where orginally going to do one double header so it wouldn't have increased the coal bill

That is true. But Galas are the place "speical" things happen and that would be speical just seems an opportunity lost the last time I saw a Merchant Navy and another rebuild together was Taw Valley and Clan Line 15 odd years ago.

 

You're forgetting the original plan went out the window when it became apparent that 45379 was going to be a no-show, thanks to the haulier letting them down........................... I for one am happy that the two visiting Bulleids are running solo!

 

Maybe another timetable error.

Just been looking at the weather for the next three days. Tomorrow looks to be cloudy in the morning and Saturday/Sunday are look good. I'm just hoping the sun breaks through before 35028 comes storming up Medstead bank.
