On tonight's episode of fire brigade drama series "The Smoke" on Sky 1 tonight, there was a sequence filmed at an old waterworks, presumably in London. In the background at one point there was a set of narrow gauge frames from a steam loco frames sat on a trolley, with the boiler sat on the floor next to it. The frames looked to be from a 2' gauge outside cylinder 0-4-0, and they seemed to be in an unrestored state.

Does anybody know what they might possibly be from?

    Thanks

I saw that programme as well, it looked like Brentford water works, which did have a narrow gauge system, not sure if it has anymore.

I can confirm that the loco was indeed 'Woolwich'. I also apologise for not updating the blog that James linked to. The project is not stalled, far from it, but work has certainly slowed as we've got to the point where serious sums have to be spent. So far our applications for grant aid have proven unsuccessful but we haven't run out of options to explore. Every component of the loco except the boiler has been taken back to bare metal and plenty of paint applied. The mainframes are now a pleasing shade of red oxide, and are warm and dry indoors.

    All the best
