Call me pedantic but you have a problem (IMHO) typical of a number of sites of having the photos in a long vertical line on the left hand side. Call me old fashioned but I prefer the full page layout

As for you photos, they're superb. It's not often someone focuses on black and white so its nice to see some which are! I think it does pick out the intricate detail better than colour in a lot of cases, particularly in this excellent shot

That shot was taken waaaaay back in 1993, I transferred it to pc the other month and final got round to sticking it in black and white.

The other month in Steam Railway, David Ward had an article on his photographs and I have to agree with him when he says that black and white is the right way to photograph steam engines, as the vast majority of BR era pictures and before are in Black and White, yes colour does creep in there somewhere, but B&W really works well, which is why I have put all the shots in Black and White. It can help to add a sense of timelessness to a picture if it is in B&W.
