Can we have the timetables please!! Time is ticking away, three days to go and there are plenty of rival attractions on.

    Thanks.

If last years Branchline Weekend is anything to go by then the timetables will only appear on the website about 18 hours before trains begin to run. The First trains are always at 1000 then every half hour afterwards but loco allocations are currently unknown.

Many thanks, starting time was the main thing needed. It looks like another great variety of trains. On Saturday those attending could, after the last train has run at Embsay, go onto the nearby KWVR for the Fish and Chip special due off Oxenhope at 7.30pm!

Am I right in that there is an appeal open to fund Wheldale's restoration to working order?

Looks quite a good timetable, shame it's far too late to book reasonably priced train tickets/hotels...

Thanks for that , hoping to get there this weekend and perhaps ask how the 2nd Bolton Abbey Platform and Skipton extention projects are coming along.
With the Miniature railway presence has anyone looked into the feasability of a narrow guage/ miniature railway linking the Station to Bolton Abbey itself ( about a mile with an existing underpass)... that would be popular.

Today four engines in steam plus a diesel taking turns on a variety of stock - long goods, Parcels Set, Mark 1 coaching stock and the Stately coaching stock.
Engines running - L&Y A-Class 12322 - in (LMS livery), "Norman" 68005 - (RSH Austerity), "Beatrice" - (Hunslet 16") and Samuel Fox & Co. 20 - Hudswell Clarke plus D.5600 - BR Class 31 diesel on a 30 minute time table meaning that an engine was passing approximately every 15 minutes.
They kept the timetable running on time but returning after some lunch it had slipped slightly but without cancellations.
Probably the best event I have been to all year for the weather and action.
Excellent day out... but I think I have got sun burnt !!

An interesting day, trains were 70 late by the end of the day when we called it a day with the 1645 arrival at Bolton Abbey getting in at 1755.

Track circuit / signal problems from lunchtime onwards caused much of the delays & the incorrect train being allowed out of the yard didn't help.

Great little line, friendly staff but by this afternoon nobody really knew which trains were which or what was happening.

A challenging day for those at the coal face, hopefully the next two days will run smoother.

Many thanks for keeping things running even though late.

The 4 different trains, 5 different locos certainly made it a good gala & I hope it's firmly in the diary for 2015.

If you are able to visit tomorrow or Monday do so.

    A few photos from Saturday:

Excellent gala, plenty to photograph with regular trains.Very impressive!
Rest of the days photos viewable here: http://richardsteampics.weebly.com/preserved-railways.html
One complaint would be that they were asking £5 for a platform ticket! Only wanted a couple of ice-cream so walked away, thus doing them selves out of the price of two ice-creams.

Would have thought £5 was a small price to pay for "an excellent gala with plenty to photograph"

X2 plus ice-cream costs. Yes the railway is run by volunteers and needs support but is hardly an encouragement when a ticket to travel is only £15. (correct me if I'm wrong)
I wouldn't have begrudged paying a quid or two but £5 is a step to far. From my point of view there missing out of passing trade, public who want a cuppa and see a train. Surly the income from the tea room and shop would be greater than a couple of tickets.
