A very noisy departure from a damp and overcast Woking this morning

Did it arrive? RTT stopped at Branksome at 12:56.

Are the front bogie wheels rotating at 3:04 or not? I am not sure whether it's an effect of the camera or too much red wine..

Stroboscopic effect of the camera I guess, but you best send me some of that Vin Rouge, sounds like good stuff.

Thats what happens when you don't put a diesel on the back.

How does the absence of a diesel affect the data feeds to RTT?

Certainly passed me at top of Parkstone Bank on time and drifting very gently down the bank close behind the Poole stopper.
(No Branksome triangle effect - was just a problem with the feeds to RTT!)

Nice noisy start away from Woking - ta for the video

33012 leading back to Southampton with very able assistance from 44932 at the back of the train up top of Parkstone Bank on time this evening.
Nice combination if we have to have a diesel leading back up the hill and a sensible idea using the local 33!
Cylinder Drain Cocks not leaking now

Coming through Bournemouth on the down run earlier. A Black 5 running in on a set of maroon MK1s, and with nothing else around so reminiscent of the inter-regionals of the steam era.

Stick your headphones on, crank up the volume to 11, and cop a lughole load of this.

    The return through West Byfleet

    Nice video mrKnowwun.

I wonder who else was waiting for the guy on the mobile phone to look round in disbelief at the noise?

I didn't go out for 44932 yesterday in view of the weather, but here it is at Afflington on last year's run, in the sunshine. The sound as it slogged up the bank from Corfe Castle was quite magnificent.

Let's hope the rain has stopped by the time the next Swanage Belle rns two weeks today. 44932 Afflington.jpg

Thank you, turned out a peach even more so as I didn't do any planning for this, wasn't even going to go out, but just popped out to my local station at the last minute.
