    That has been saved, by the Dinmore manor group, and work has started on her, now that 7820 and 4270 are finished and 35006 still nearly finished with 44027 only a year or two away it should be a main focus, oh, along with 44901, when it arrives.

    3855 is under restoration , its tender was to have gone on loan to 7820 iirc

    2885 as Ben has said is going to be restored

    3845 is owned now by DMLL and in theory has a brighter future

    I think you'll find (but you knew this anyway and are just being mischievous) it's because rather more of this class survived to enter Barry Scrapyard than the preservation movement could cope with at the time. Their time will come. Rather like the Bulleid MNs methinks

    That's what people originally said about the 2-8-0 tanks. Now with 4247 and 4270 running, and the strides being made on 4253, times have changed. Let's hope times change for them, too.
