Excellent day out, some spirited running and plenty of spirits consumed onboard..!

Yes the 47 pushed at some parts, which was slightly disappointing, but overall still enjoyed the day. Surprised this route isn't used more often, decent pick up points to an attractive destination with plenty of time available to do something and doesn't involve a overly early start (or not from Preston at least ). Gutted I can't make 5972 next trip in July, but hopefully this wont be the last we see of her on the mainline.

 

At last, somebody builds the full size Mark 1 to match Triang's early plastic efforts!
