5305LA have said that Ollie is fit and they are expecting to work this one. It was only the firemen's strike that stopped them doing last weekend's SD trips.

Good news then. I thought the loco had a few mechanical issues.

Too greater distance in one day with reasonable start and finish times. I believe it came off at Doncaster the last time this trip ran.

No, late running and impending line possessions for engineering work on the ECML meant that it came off at York, not Doncaster in 2012. To quote Max Boyce, 'I know 'cos I was there'...

70013 was booked to leave the train at York but on the day came off at Scarborough due to the outward journey running late.

Oh, yes, I remember now- my tour records are in my office, so they're not to hand at the moment. What threw me was the suggestion that 70013 came off at Doncaster.

70013 doing the complete trip. A cl 37 will be added for the last bit of ECML SO Ollie will still have to do some work. A sell out trip with a good itinery but alas I'm in Devon but hope the trip goes well!

Having walked the dog in glorious sunshine it is now full dull at Arlesey. Small bits of blue in the distance so hoping to get lucky.

Sounded good leaving Stevenage. A rather pleasant way of getting home from work after nights, and means I've now done over 2000 miles behind steam this year.

And here is one (one of many) good reason why you shouldn't hang out of a train window. Not that this will stop anyone, certainly not mois.
