    Where is Watford?
    Does RYTC have a plan?

According to some, Watford is where the north begins!

A few miles north of London, for those living to the south of Watford, the world as they know it ends there, beyond being all flat caps, whippets, smoking factories and slag heaps. For those of us north of Watford, well we only venture south if there is absolutely no choice as they dress up in suits covered in sequins and mother of pearl buttons, that being the men??? and all speak in some weird rhyming slang.

An even earlier start for the passengers possibly should the 7th and 14th tours go ahead.

If it's diesel hauled by a 100mph class 50, or 55... I'm sure I'd get up an hour earlier for that, wcrc 47/57... I might wait a few weeks either side.

Surely the realistic option would be a 40 (although they don't quite do 100mph). After all, they did work many WCML services in the short period before AC traction arrived on the scene.

Not sure of the actual quote, but it was to the effect that "The South" ends/begins (depending on direction) at Watford Gap, which is a dip in the Northamptonshire hills through which Watling Street, the Grand Union Canal, the London & Birmingham Railway and the M1 all pass, within a few hundred yards of each other.

From the RTC website The Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express 2015 - 14th and 21st February dates are no longer running. We have added a new date of 4th April.
