    Last Saturday, 7th June, Alperton bus garage held an open day as it was 75 years to the day since the garage opened. As a kid in the area this was my local garage and I took this opportunity to finally get a look inside.

    Yes I am an active volunteer
    They bring back some "happy" memories of being dumped out of one night bus in the early hours and then having to wait ages for the next one to Uxbridge - usually on s freezing cold winters night!!

    Since passing my PSV test on one I've always had a soft spot for a nice Guy decker One with a thumping old Gardner in it makes happy days
