    Is the problem on the Calder Valley route west of Hall Royd jnc? If it is not why not route via Copy Pit? Its been done before...
    But then there is the steam ban from the border at Hebden Bridge.....

    I have read elsewhere that the footbridge at Mossley is banned to class A4 and Princess Coronation class steam locos in at least one direction, due to the heavily canted track having shifted slightly down the cant under normal traffic conditions, making them out of gauge here. The track would have to be slewed back into position to permit them to run.

    Well, I have just booked six seats on this tour, so I hope what ever current issues there are, will be sorted before the trip. Though the comment's above don't fill me with optimism.
