Isn't that path there each day? If its to be used it gets activated about 8am on the day in question. Not saying it won't be activated on the 16th mind.

 

Thats correct the path is there nearly all the time with it being activated a week or so ago but for a class 47 on test .

 

Anything coming through Cheltenham in the next month?

The Western Streak- indeed. Do you know of anything else coming through Cheltenham?

 

The Notwork Rail STN isued 03/10/14 advises that the loco will be 45690, but, given its plans for this coming Saturday, one must suppose that 46233 needs to be run-in on a more urgent basis. Who knows, indeed!

 

So it got through the York area in steam. Good.

The word now seems to be that 46233 may do a test-run tomorrow (Friday).
