    A message received regarding the 1Z55 (now 1Z54). <BJ>

''It looks as if NR screwed up big time! Seems like the entire schedule was initially timed for 95 mph in error and they have had to re-plan it! Here are the revised ones. You can see the real times here for the outward run.
    Hope this helps, Mike''.

That explains the frantic messages flying about this morning. A big "Whoops" there, for sure.

I guess so! I am tossing up whether to go to Lickey or go to my nearest station at Ashchurch.

The 95mph timing is because that's the max speed at the start of the journey i.e. behind the 47 from Tyseley. The Lune Rivers trip a couple of weeks ago was the same. Nothing exciting, or an NR cock up. Just the way the times are entered into the system.

So can you please explain why the 1Z44 schedule was removed at the 11th hour and replaced with a 1Z56 schedule? <BJ>

Managed to chase it home, getting three shots. Two of the Three shot's captured, were well into the Seventies, while more sedate through Barnt Green, near the end of the journey. Reports from the Lickey, saying, a great noise, with large crowds gathered.

En route back from a family visit in the North East (without video kit) I was able to see the Duchess past Selside on the S&C this morning so it was great to be able to pull in a shot of Bittern at Aschurch after I got home. Two top link Pacifics in one day :)
Most people I've ever seen on Ashchurch station with or without steam!
    Here's the video clip
Thanks to all involved as always.

Here's my friends video, of Bittern Up the Lickey. As expected this is more of a sound recording. Though, unexpectedly, there was minimal assistance from the rear !

Not sure where the crowds were as at Finstall there were no more than 12 in the field , very few cars in the road

Listening to Bromsgrove seemed to approach the bank at speed ,

However what sounded like at least one quite big slip speed was well down when it passed us and the 47 under power
