On Thursday I went to a Neil Cave organised photo charter at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway using lightly weathered No.7820 'Dinmore Manor'. A most enjoyable day out with excellent morning weather followed by slowly deteriorating afternoon weather. Thanks to all involved at the railway for the event. My photographs from the day can be seen here http://paulgildersleve.smugmug.com/...ire16/45036937_F9H6kf#!i=3619865651&k=8SSNhL2

Very good. I wasnt quite convinced i'd got the weathering right, but looks superb there.

Cracking photos, but how very inconsiderate a date - a week later and I'd have been at C+W due to half term and I could have waved you past :) Weathering looks good too, but in the last photo the driver got forgotten! :D

She was still all dirtied up on the Saturday and looked pretty good, I don't think some people understood though from over hearing conversations!

Staying like that until the 28th I believe. It's quite interesting the comments we hear when I do it at Llan. Originally started for the 60s weekends, so they look as if they are on the way to Barry, with all sorts of coments scrawled on the paintwork / smoke box. People believe it! As for getting the initial permission to do it, takes a bit of explaining that it won't damage the paint.
