The Eastern region is pretty much obliterated given there are only 3 types of engine with more than one example of a class, being A4 (6), B1 (2) and Y7 (2). However, given the BR numbering scheme they might have the biggest consequtive number sequence given 60007, 60008, 60009 and 60010 are in existance. Does anyone else know of a chain of four in a row?

Just as a side too pictures of three of these can be seen here: http://www.blackhatrailwaypictures.co.uk/p656648099

    As mentioned already, Manors No. 7819, 7820, 7821 & 7822 all survive.

And unlike the A4s, where 60010 has reverted to being 4489, all four consecutively numbered Manors are very unlikely to be re-numbered.

I think BR should have forced Swindon to renumber into a five-figure sequence, just to force them to scrap all those cabside number plates - after all, it's not as if other regions didn't also have such number plates that they had to discard ;)

Thinking on (and having seen a mention in another thread) consecutive numbers is one thing but members of a class operational at the same time is also quite a feat? Mentioned elsewhere 5 Terriers and potentially 6 Manors have been in ticket at once? I would imagine that Austerity saddletanks would top the leader board possibly followed by Quarry Hunslets? I wonder what would be the highest multiple of ex-BR locos?

It was six Terriers operational at once, but five in one place at one time was I think the most ...
