I'm sorry for posting, as Basil Fawlty would say, the "bleeding obvious".

 

Obvious to some no doubt. But for those of us who don't quite make Mensa, very helpful indeed.

 

2 shots from a damp North Warwickshire Line. I did have more shots planned but was rather wet so I came home again.

 

Arrived a couple of minutes early. Pretty dull and dark day in Worcester, at least the rain stopped hammering down about an hour ago.

 

Well done that man, going out into that weather to film.

 

Terrible weather today indeed, but still worth going out to see...very smoky! Like the wreath, nice touch from VT.

Had a phone call from Dad half way up the Lickey on the train about 20 minutes ago, sounded great!

They never made the top then?

 

They certainly did make the top - and they made it in style. My son and I watched them go over the summit, they were going great guns. I remember reading a book by Harold Gasson of footplate reminisences. He said that in the wartime at Didcot, the USA troops described 57xx panniers as "dynamite". The way the Tyseley pair went up the Lickey tonight, that is a perfect description!

 

An excellent day, the two panniers put in a superb performance all day, steady speed up the Lickey between 19 and 21 mph. Much whistling at the top!.

 

Absolutely shocking conditions today ! But a very good showing from the Tyseley Terriers !

 

Excellent tour that did everything it said on the tin, epic noise and theatre on the Lickey, a few slips well controlled, to my untrained eye I think we actually increased speed on the climb, almost raining ash with every window taken (3 times over in the case of the buffet droplight I was at), also finally cleared the cross city for steam too.
