It must be a pretty strong Mini if it can take the weight of a class 14 !

Ridiculous programme. My Sister is a viewer of Hollyoaks and she told me there was a train crash occurring in it.
At least none of the women on the train would have been injured as they were protected by the many layers of makeup that they wear!

I'm curious, does the storyline involve a train on a preserved line, or is the medias interpretation of what passes for a modern everyday train now akin to that of Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder ?.

Main annoyance is that if you are going to involve the cast of Hollyoaks in a train crash, coulden't DRS have found a couple of leaky old nuclear flasks for the job ?.

The thing that puzzles me is how come the 14 hits the Mini twice? The first time it just pushes the car along the track.
Next, it shows it hitting again and rising up in the airo_O. I had to smile though when it showed the girl being tipped
    off the bog:).

Interesting that they didn't remove the derailed vehicles immediately after the filming, but left them lineside for a period while public services resumed.

I must admit, it gives a, well, interesting view for passengers.

What's happening with the plywood 14 then? Could make an interesting display piece, although if my experience of these things is anything to go by, it'll end up in the skip :(

6 1/2 tons of steel apparently! Already gone for scrap, according to a thread on another forum (WNXX I think).

I'm not a regular viewer but did watch this. The storyline did appear to be taking place on a preserved railway (with the train leaving 'Deeside Halt' which sounds rather Llangollen like!) although the alleged speeds were quite preposterous, and how the mini managed to stay on the tracks and in (largely) one piece whilst the class 14 was derailed was hard to credit. I would say B+ for concept and C for execution.
