That is my experience too Mike. There seems to be an assumption by some on here that you cannot have a good steam run if there is a diesel on the back and that is so untrue. Of course nothing is garunteed with or without a diesel but most steam...

Had a productive weekend at Urie Society Towers. Firstly, cleared and cleaned the floor of Tender 3223. Holy cow, does it look big, or what![ATTACH] Secondly, a trial fit of the feedwater sump. Not fitted over the trailing bogie (as built) but...

The simple reason is that Holgate and the Leeds lines through Church Fenton have an engineers possession on them today. This was deemed the most expedient way round this. Peter.
