    Just a question how do they control the diesel on the back who tells the diesel when to do the work ? how steep is Dalton bank ? i guess you mean the climb out of Dalton towards Ulverston ? or is it the climb from Barrow to Dalton?

    Listening on the train, there was a small lineside fire reported in the Maryport area, so not surprised if a view was taken to minimise risk and gingerly take the climbs around Barrow. Overall, enjoyed it - all smoothly operated and another...
