Have recently held my nose and made a booking with the RTC as I feel that they need our support. Had a conversation with someone at their office who has no idea what will haul it but thinks it may be a Black 5. There is nothing else available...

I agree it is very likely not to be the Jubilee, but a month is a long time in politics and the railway world. Who knows what may appear from 10A though. Maybe a set of CDL Mk1's will appear before 6880 actually makes a gala booking :).

  8. Shaggy liked Wayne's post in the thread 35028 Clan Line returns: 27/04/24.

Nearly right! Dave Proctor was driving Victoria to Salisbury, with Andy Denton firing. I took over from Dave at Salisbury who then stayed on as fireman to Bath. Jim Clarke took over firing duties from Dave at Bath, which he did until Woking. I...

In the general Swanage railway discussion #10527 Gladiator has posted a photo of the 24 along side a weather beaten DTSO which looks like it needs attention. Tomorrow about 3PM the LU 4TC with 69007 and 33012 should arrive from Waterloo to...
