Will the 02 be working passenger trains during the weekend or just pottering about the yard-a passenger train will result in 150ish extra visitors to the event as it hasn't worked before?

The 02 will be working in Swanwick Yard.
There are a number of reasons it cannot currently be used on passenger services, lack of vacumn equipment being one of them.
We're looking at getting it on a passenger service at some point, but it won't be on any for this one I'm afraid.

Not the correct thread Paul, but is the MRC holding a diesel gala in September?

    Many thanks

    Already looked Mr Sarcasm

Information posted is never claimed to be MINE.

Thought such postings are useful, can very easily not bother if nobody thinks they are required and obviously cause offence?

As you may well know, D4 is currently unavailable for traffic.

Because of this, 47401 (hopefully as 1500) will be running instead of D4. Appologies for this, but sadly these things do happen. :(

Enjoyed my visit today it was good to see the Duchess and 23, what's 23's BR number?

73129 was on display outside, curious as to the work required, I'd like to visit when it's in steam, is the roster available on the web site?

    Thanks!!

I was down on Saturday with the Old Man. We both enjoyed the day - especially when we could find some shade! I was told that 73129 is having trouble with the super heater elements and that MRB are having new ones made in house, so it may be back later this year. 23 (which was 47327 in BR days I think) looks awfully handsome in Prussian Blue. Enjoyed the freight too, especially the ICI hoppers which look great - I remember seeing 18 or so behind a 25 or a 40 at the end of my road in my youth. Loved the grain hoppers too. Well done MRB.
