Here are some more of my dad's photos, from the late 1960's,this collection shows steam in its final months of service as well as the 1st Generation diesels making regular appearances. By this time steam had died out on the Eastern region, and Alan had to go to Lostock Hall and other sheds in the North West in search of working steam locos,we also see the sorry sight of locos awaiting the cutters torch or even being burnt out at Hull,Drapers Yard during the summer.

    Locations included:
Normanton,Featherstone,Lostock Hall,Carnforth,Hull Drapers Scrapyard,Ackton Hall Pit,Tyseley open day,Doncaster,Rose Grove MPD and many more.
