2014 - July 18th Friday Steam Hauled Works Train

Discussion in 'On Track.' started by Karen Willans, Jul 21, 2014.

The first one of the season

The evening's mission was to collect boscage from the lineside and take it to the various 'burn sites' alongside the railway.

First stop was a pile at Brynglas which was taken on the train to Quarry Siding. More branches were collected from Abergynolwyn and taken back down to Quarry. On the way back down, more boscage was picked up from near Brynglas and Tynllwynhen to be offloaded at Ty Mawr.

Evening steam hauled works trains run most Fridays during peak service.
