2015 February - Loco and Carriage Working Parties

    Pendre update from 7th and 8th February


    No 6 Douglas was the main focus for the loco working weekend. The gang refitted the plugs, gauge glasses, ashpan, firebars and brake gear. Once this was completed the loco's boiler was hydraulically tested for leaks. Hopefully we'll be able to steam test her soon.

    No 2 Dolgoch was lit up for final adjustment of the safety valves, ready for entering service this half term.

    No 7 Tom Rolt's pony truck wheels have a new coat of paint and will hopefully be reunited with the rest of No 7 soon.

    More heroic souls braved the West Carriage Shed pit to continue the carriage maintenance.

    Thank you to everyone who came along to help out during the weekend.
