I may be missing an obvious point of info on the Mid Hants website, but I can't find a list of the 2012 working dates for this lovely unit. Any info much appreciated! Incidentally, I have also tried "my friend Google," lest our tediously repetitive friend steps in to recommend its use!

If you look at the operating days timetable, click on the orange edged Sundays, you will reveal the Thumper's intended operation days! Unfortunately not a list anywhere, you have to check each day individually....

From memory the dates were listed on WNXX forum.

It's a relief that it's not down to myopia on my part! Thanks for the heads up. I really want some Hampshire action!

Just to check my reading of the website, am I right in thinking that the unit will be out to play next Saturday, 28th April?

Yes that is what the website is saying. Also, if you check the loco roster, you will see that 850 and 45379 are down as motive power for the next few weeks whilst 31806 is living it up at Didcot, so any failure on Nellie's part (not picking on anyone here, but Lord Nelson has not been the most reliable loco in the MHR fleet, although seems to be better at the moment!) would mean a possible emergency excursion for the Thumper.
Having said that, this is what we got on the RAT and Belle last night, whilst 45379 sat in the yard at Ropley!

I take it that 34007 is having work done on her exhaust pipework over the coming weeks, thus is unavailable.

Well, I really enjoyed my ride in 205025. As an added bonus, it undertook two round trips (I had been led to believe that the second trip would only be to Medstead & Four Marks. The unit sounded in great nick, and there were plenty of passengers. I wonder how many people only turned up on Saturday to cop this unit? I will certainly try to make it to another running day this year. Well done to all concerned!
