3237 on Cowan Bank

    Here is some more of Bevan Wall's work. 3237 is seen climbing Cowan Bank. In the first shot, 3237 is about half way up the five miles of 1 in 40. In the second shot, 3237 is seen crossing over the site of the former toll gates for the Pacific Highway.

    32 Class are limited to 200 tons on a 1 in 40 grade. This train, 3 x FS second Class sitting carriages + water gin, is within the limit, weighing at approximately 175 tons.
