Just to say how much 35028 looked magnificent today on her first Surrey Hills run .
A splendid unassisted performance at Hackhurst Farm with plenty of white exhaust.

And here it is on a glorious sunny cold day at Byfleet Junction, Nope not the railway junction, but the canal junction. Possibly the oldest and the most modern combined crossing point in the home counties. A place where two canals meet (1653) a main railway line (1838) the M25 (1983) AND one of Londons most important and major nation grid substation and switching station.

What a shame we didn't see more of Clan Line. After a wait of 1 min, 18 secs for the train to appear, 13 secs later it disappeared
behind a clump 0f trees until the end of the clip. The weather looked wonderful. Did anyone else film the train? <BJ>

One of the more interesting differences today (or I think it is a difference) is that the Class 67 only banked the train up the platform and stopped at the starter on P2. So that means dear old Clan Line had the full weight of the pullmans up onto Grosvenor Bridge. Simples......

Sigh, you try and add some human interest, topicality, industrial heritage, scenic and different perspectives, and all you get is "why did i have to wait so long for the train"

Don't give up looking for the unusual locations. Some of us appreciate it as we do know what Clan Line looks like!

There really is nothing to touch the class of that loco and stock when on the move in sunlight.

Excellent introduction, editing and filming. What a difference. Well done Christian, your film was a joy to watch. <BJ>
