Well, looking at uksteam.info, it seems there r to be 2 non VSOE tours for 35028 next year.

One from kings cross to york and the other from london to weymouth.

they are just private excursions it seems, but will be great for photting.

Both are being run by UK Railtours. A leaflet was handed out on the Thames Dee today so it's public knowledge now!

    29th April - 60019 King's X - Scarboro - York
    8th May - 35028 Waterloo - Yeovil Junc, Weymouth - Waterloo
22nd May - 60019 Yorkshire - London (routing not confirmed at present)
    29th May - 35028 King's X - York - King's X
    16th June - 60163 Victoria - Swanage, Southampton Up Goods Loop - Romsey - Laverstock - Victoria
    27th June - 60019 Alton - Guildford - Havant - Eastleigh - London

Also 6201 should appear on a tour at King's X at some point in the year too, but this is currently being worked on.

Lets pray for a 7.20am start from Waterloo, there is a path down the main, Wayne on the regulator would be a nice addition. Mind you a Merchant at full chat up Stoke Bank, happy days.

An interesting list. The trip to Weymouth is a must do with 35028 and so will the run from Alton with 60019. When can we start booking?

do UKRT allow u to pay a less for a shorter journey like steam dreams? ie london to peterborough for £30.

Because then i might do Alton to Eastleigh with 60019.

May do the Waterloo-Weymouth run, if the price is still around the £69 quid mark. Even though I'm a Southern enthusiast, my current geographical location has made it difficult for me to do these routes. Hopefully, this glaring deficiency will be amended to some extent next year (34067 from Waterloo to Exeter is high on my list, too). As an update, from what I have heard, 35028 is taking the train to Yeovil where it will be serviced, and the diesel will take it onto Weymouth via Maiden Newton. 35028 should be turned at Yeovil and reverse back to Weymouth, from where it will head back to London via Southampton and Winchester.
