Does anyone know the route and times for this train yet?

I'm hoping it's the usual Ascot 10 o'clock-ish schedule, but I haven't seen confirmation anywhere.

Nothing on uk steam as yet, what I sometimes do is to look up a previous similar run of this & base the times on that. They are usually pretty consistent. As a aside, for those who go to Theale for the water stop, a new platform has now been built alongside the loop line by the car park which now restricts the close up view. I think it is for use for when main station rebuilding starts at Reading & West of England trains will start & terminate at Theale with a bus shuttle to Maidenhead via Reading.

EDIT, just re-read your post Steve & it seems you have a similar plan re. the times.

35028 passed Egham bang on time. Look as good as ever with a diesel on the back.

Platform overflowing with SWT Revenue Inspectors catching the fair dodgers!

They were gobsmacked to see two steam trains pass in opposite directions within 40 minutes of each other with Tangmere on the Basingstoke to Lincoln trip.

Doesn't get much better than this. Was anyone lucky enough to see the two trains pass each other. Now, that would be teriffic!

They will have crossed near the junction of the Hounslow loop, since they were within 5 mins at Feltham. There's some good viewpoints around there. I couldn't get there this morning unfortunately, had to content myself with seeing the VSOE passing Amen Corner at Bracknell. Video of that here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnQYsSnriDY

Nice Video, however 'Clan line' has been preserved since 1967. She was brought one month after her farewell tour, and hauled her first charter in perservation in 1974.

We passed Tangmere about 0930 near Hounslow. Last time 2 Bulleids passed each other on the main line? Understand their trip had many problems throughout the day ending with a failure of the loco at Conington. This video taken from support coach which was stuck at the rear of the train next to 67008 for reasons of turning/servicing at Bristol. Great trip all day arriving back at Vic about 3 down with Wayne and Andy on the footplate.
