No thread, was strangely quiet out and about yesterday, just a handful at Gomshall. St Johns Way footbridge Chertsey, West Byfleet and Gomshall...

I live within a few minutes of here at Brockham (between Dorking and Betchworth). I was going to go for a 'glint' shot, but the sun was far too hazy, so I went for:

Lovely shot Ian - sort of Christmas card feel to it (and that's good!)

That was quite a load yesterday - anyone know what the tonnage on the drawbar was, assuming the 67 wasn't helping most of the time?

Yes I am an active volunteer
I doubt the 67 was helping at all.

I estimate the load at about 600 tons - 13 coaches, 10 of which are Pullmans at 40 tons each, plus generator car at, say, 36 tons, the support coach and brake coach both at 32 tons. The 67 is listed at 90 tons, giving a total of 600. The 67 was silent at Brockham (climbing at 1 in 144).

Just one shot from Albury Heath. You could hear Clan Line accelerating hard away through Chilworth, right the way up the bank... perfection really.
