Surprised there is no thread for this one. I'm hoping to see her at Reading or Twyford this evening.

    Updates and photos please!

Looks like we now take things for granted just like an everyday occurrence.

I was about to start a thread on this with the same comment! Although steam, I suppose it is a little "old hat".
Hope to go to Theale tonight though.

I always try and go out for this train and post on the forum after I see it. One problem is that it is hard to get out of work sometimes.
I am also going to wait got it to return at Clapham Area so would like some info if it is running to time for the return.

    Thanks in advance.

I've stopped doing the larger car distances to chase summer trains in poorish weather, so given this one a miss. Would have gone if I'd been certain of clear blue skies or a sharp frost all day. LOl!

But will be out for "Ollie" tomorrow. Scheduled to pass one mile from my house at circa 12.24. Roll on Autumn and winter with low sun, low vegetation and cold clag inducing days!

Still love to see anyone's photos and video from today. Probably all be master shots in clear sunshine with loads of clag. #-o

Five early through Woodborough this evening, didn't stop. Video only today I'm afraid.

Some of the carriages looked very empty.....

But '28 looked fantastic as always, well done to the team! =D>

Arrived & left Theale 10 mins early.
The event was somewhat ruined for me due to a miserable 4 eyed bearded git & his mrs moaning because I was talking to a friend on my mobile who was telling me he couldn't make it to see 35028. He was worried it would ruin his video despite the fact it hadn't even left Theale station & reached our vantage point about a 1/4 of a mile away. He just heard the whistle in distance as I think it was pulling up to the signal.
I don't know if he is on these forums, but I hope he reads this.

I've heard that a lot of the VSOEs run only around half full. It adds to the exclusivity I guess.. With high ticket prices and lower overheads through owning stock, repeat schedules and running weekdays I should think that their break even point for passengers is a lot lower than normal charters. They always run 12 or 13 cars though and a couple of hundred people would spread quite thinly through them!
