    Hi All,
just uploaded my gallery from the SVR's Stanier Mogul which ran a charter on the GCR last week. Stock was in the form of Mk1 maroons + a single parcel van. Weather was very gloomy but allowed forsome real atmospheric mono's. Our crews did us proud with the clag to enhance the atmosphere. Hope you enjoy them.....

    Cheers

Hi Yep ive reported it to streamline, they are encountering high demand on the server my site uses which is causing intermittant loss of connection, All i can say is try again later, the engineers working on it!

    Cheers
    Jon.

Fantastic set of pictures on a day which was obviously less than ideal weather wise. Some quite brave, edgy material there too. My favourite pic has to be the on of 42968 approaching Rothley, with the overheard power mast in the background and the tall signal on the right. The long lens creating the balance between the signal and the mast really works. Lovely stuff!

Those photos are a brilliant lesson in how to make a grotty day, weather wise, into a great day photographically. It just shows what can be done when the sun has a day off.
    Excellent work indeed!

    Cheers,

    Paul

    Cheers Mighty Mogul,
It amazes me how many photters dont even bother to turn up when bad weather is forecast.....We started the day with about 20 out of 40ish that had paid.......By lunchtime we were down to about 12......Thanks for the comments, i use these type of days to get creative and throw caution to the wind! I too like the shot with the power mast, its something alot people try avoid, but the national grid is an authentic structure for recreating the glory days.....

    Best
    Jon.

    Hi Paul,
Cheers for the comments, i had real fun shooting these....Russ knew exactly how to make the most of the weather & the crews were superb in making the clag, with an engine thats a clean burner thats no easy feat! Id say it was the most enjoyable charter id done! Bizarre as it sounds i hope i get another during the year amongst some sunny ones of course! Looking forward to the 80xxx with you Paul.

    Hi all,
I think we all enjoyed the day even though it was dull, damp and dreary! Great collection Jon as always!
I've managed to get my efforts uploaded to my site now! Most of mine are in colour. Thats if grey is
counted as a colour! Thanks to the crews and Russ it certainly was'nt a disappointment! After that, bring on the weather
whatever it will be. We can handle it!
