Any idea if George Stephenson is to move to a different preserved railway come the new Year. Really hoping that he returns to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for a season. (Even better if they ship off that S15 down south too!)

The moors was mentioned by Ian Storey. I think it's going there and getting all the bits and pieces fitted to run on the Esk Valley line. That was what the plan sounded like in September from Mr Storey but it may have changed.

It's expected at the NYMR ca. February, I think. Don't know if it is going anywhere else between leaving the CVR and arriving at the NYMR though - I think there was a hint somewhere that it might be.

I think it staying on the CVR until February, its been a brilliant loco here, to see it thundering up to Cauldon Lowe during the gala, was something I will remember for a long, long time. It looks good on the Santa specials down the valley as well, will be sorry to see it go.

are they any updates on whether this loco is changing hands as reported in a few places? Presume it would need bringing back into traffic first.. Any idea on who's likely to take it on if there is any truth in the rumours..
